Photos from Sawback's Antarctica 2025 Ski And Sail Expedition

We returned home from an incredible ski and sail expedition in Antarctica just before Christmas and have finally had the chance to slow down, reflect, and sort through the images captured along the way.

We were treated to spectacular views and truly unforgettable experiences that we wanted to share through these photographs. They tell the story of the journey better than words alone, so please enjoy this collection of my favourite images from our Sawback 2025 Antarctica trip.

“An amazing month living on board The Ocean Tramp.”

“One of my favourite images of the entire trip. You can’t see views like this anywhere else in the world.”

"Francois is all smiles at the summit of Agamemnon en route to Mount Francais."

"Skiers bootpacking up the ridge of Mt Banck."

"Paddling next to a seal with an unbelievable backdrop, the magnificent Skontorp Cove!”

“Another sailboat anchored to an old whaling shipwreck, the Gouverneur, off the shoreline of Enterprise Island.”

“Gorgeous Antarctic spring skiing.”

“Tom at our camp for the night en route to Mount Francais.”

Registration for our 2026 Ski and Sail Antarctica Expedition is now open. With limited group sizes, this trip fills quickly each year, so early sign-up is strongly encouraged.

If you are looking for other Ski and Sail expeditions check out our Svalbard and Northern Norway Ski and Sail trips. These journeys offer the same blend of adventure, backcountry skiing, and life at sea. There is still availability for spring 2026, making this a perfect opportunity to experience Sawback’s backcountry skiing in some of the northernmost and most beautiful terrain in the world.
