Canadian Rockies
Ice Climbing Winter 2007/08

Ice Climbing Courses and Guided Trips are now being booked for October 2007 through March 2008.

Intro level Workshops - If you want to experience the thrill of climbing frozen waterfall ice for the first time, this is the course for you!

Advanced Ice Movement (AIM) Workshop - If you have already spent some time ice climbing but want to push it to the next level, try an AIM Workshop.

Intensive Ice Climbing Week
A full week of ice in David Thompson Country! The David Thompson is widely reputed to be the best place around for ease of access, variety, and NO CROWDS! We'll spend our week in the comforts of the David Thompson Resort's B&B with three square homestyle meals prepared for us daily.

Ice Guiding
Have you been dreaming about one of the great ice climbs in the Canadian Rockies? Do you want to maximise your success by teaming up with a local guide?

Ice climbing guiding is available according to the following price schedule.

Number of guests
Cost per day
1
$375
2
$435

Accommodation while in town, food, equipment rental, and insurance (accident, trip cancellation, rescue, etc.) are not included in the above prices. Please see our Registration Information and Custom Guiding pages for details.

Heli-Ice Climbing
For remote climbs that are hard to access, such as The Sorcerer or Hydrophobia, a helicopter may be used for access.

Imagine waking up for a leisurely breakfast in Canmore, driving two or three minutes from your hotel to the Canmore Heli-Pad, and then being transported in a matter of minutes to the base of one of these world-class Ghost River routes! Concentrate your time and energy on climbing, and not on the hassles of driving a 4WD over treacherous roads.

For more information and rates, please see our Heli-Ice page.
